Farrow & Ball produce some of the most environmentally friendly paints and wallpapers on the market. Our environmental sensitivity extends throughout the manufacturing process. From the sourcing of our materials to energy use, wastage, packaging and distribution, we adopt an environmentally friendly approach. Unlike most other manufacturers, we do not use ammonia or formaldehyde in any of our interior paint formulations. The biocides used in our paints are safe chemicals and approved by the FDA (US Food and Drugs Administration). The following paint finishes, are all environmentally preferable, low odour and exceed all European environmental legislation standards, including those not scheduled to apply until 2010. All of these finishes have minimal or low VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds): Estate Emulsion - 2% sheen level Modern Emulsion - 10% sheen level Water-based Eggshell - 20% sheen level Exterior Masonry - 2% sheen level |
